MW Player TV
Your home shares, on the big screen.
Play the films, music, photos and PDFs on your Mac, PC or NAS straight on your Apple TV. MW Player TV finds the file shares on your home network, lets you browse them like a file explorer, and plays what you choose with the Siri Remote alone. Nothing to install on the computer, no account, no subscription.
Features
Connects to your shares
- Finds the computers sharing files on your network, or add one by address
- SMB 2 and 3: macOS File Sharing, Windows and most NAS boxes
- Sign in with a user name and password, or as a guest where allowed
- Read-only: it never changes, moves or deletes anything on your shares
Browse like a file explorer
- Path bar, Back and Up, list and grid, sort and search in a folder
- Recents, and every film, song and PDF resumes where you stopped
- Folders with thousands of files open without freezing the remote
Plays what you have
- Video: MP4, MOV and M4V, plus MKV, AVI, FLV and WebM, including 4K HDR
- Audio: MP3, AAC, M4A, FLAC, WAV, AIFF, Opus and Dolby Digital, a folder at a time
- Photos with a slideshow, and PDFs a page at a time with zoom
- Only what Apple TV can decode plays; when a picture or sound track can’t, the other one still plays with a note
Private by design
- No account, no ads, no subscription, no tracking
- Your shares, places and Recents stay on your Apple TV; passwords in its Keychain
- English and Arabic
